The history of civilization is recorded in scraps of fiber and on shards of pottery. If we listen carefully, we can hear the voices of our ancestors as we study the fragments of the lives they left behind. As a weaver and a potter, I am inspired by the beauty and the ingenuity of the everyday objects they created under extraordinarily difficult conditions. When I weave yarn into fabric or shape clay into functional or decorative objects, I hear the whispers of those long ago crafts people and feel a connection to their struggles to create beauty in the very functional pieces they needed. My inspiration comes from knowing that my pieces, like theirs, may be found thousands of years from now. I hope that future weavers and potters will find a touch of beauty and inspiration from my work.

My pottery is food safe, microwave safe but please do not put in a preheated oven.
